Report #2 of Project FOTOCAT: Argentina. The Year 1965 in Photos |
| source: Anomalia |
Report #2 of Project FOTOCAT entitled "Argentina. The Year 1965 in Photos" has just been released online in the following url:
http://www.anomalia.org/fotocat/argentina1965en.pdf
It is a major work on collection and analysis of 45 events where pictures or films were obtained in Argentina during 1965. Case abstracts, discussion, all collected prints, and an statistical overview give shape to an intense survey of UFO and IFO phenomenology, in an international effort without precedent.
I have thought you would be interested to know about this publication.
Sincerely yours,
Vicente-Juan Ballester Olmos

Italian UFO reports |
| source: Giorgio Abraini (CISU) |
abstract [Italian UFO reports]
The number of UFO reports in Italy fell in September: 15 reports are known as at Oct 09th, 2006, vs 31 occurred in July. This is a new low for the month of September in the last 6 years. Moreover, one third of the reports appear to be caused by meteors, and none of them seems interesting enough; the strangest happened in Lecce (southern Italy), where many witnesses observed for half an hour about ten red lights wandering in the sky. The seasonally adjusted data of September confirm the sharp decline of UFO reports: only 1.6 reports s.a., compared to 6.6 in August and 30 in June. As for the number of UFO events, it slightly increased to 6 in September from 3.8 in August, but still much lower than before summer. With October the seasonal effect will become negative again (meaning that there is a tendency to record less reports than usual). The 2006 grand total rose to 364 reports. The August 2006 total increased from 31 to 44.

abstract [Italian UFO reports]
The number of UFO reports in Italy rose in August: 31 reports are known as at Sep 09th, 2006, vs 27 occurred in July. Still, this number is low compared to previous years. In Monselice (northern Italy), a woman saw a triangular object with coloured lights at close distance; the same witness and a friend saw it again one hour later near Monselice. Due to technical issues, seasonally adjusted data are not available; however it's easy to see that the number of August sightings should be even lower in s.a. terms, due to the positive seasonal effect which takes place in the summer, peaking in August.
The 2006 grand total rose to 315 reports. The July 2006 total increased from 27 to 35.
